At the end of May 2022, members of the Department of Materials Engineering and Physics of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of STU visited the construction site of the first hemp family house in Bratislava. Since environmentally friendly technologies are at the center of the department’s research activities, close cooperation is offered on the applications and technology of hemp concrete. During the tour, we discussed the horizons of possible cooperation and scientific and technical studies. Subsequently, in October, together with the architect of the mentioned building we introduced the 5th grade students not only to the advantages of hemcrete, but also to the holistic use of industrial hemp.
