In October, the TEBiCE InterReg project partners gathered in southern Slovakia for a study visit focused on evaluating hemp and innovations in the circular bioeconomy. We co-organized this visit with local SMEs Persefone Ltd. and Kuruc Company Ltd. and offered participants a direct insight into the sustainable processing of hemp and its potential for regional development. They saw how agricultural by-products can be transformed into environmentally friendly, high-value materials for construction, biocomposites, and textiles. Discussions highlighted cluster cooperation, the development of short value chains, local innovation, and adaptive management as key factors for the growth of the circular bioeconomy.
